Funeral services for Frankie Geneva Winfrey will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rev. Burgie Thompson officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Frankie passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.
Frankie Geneva Winfrey was born August 28, 1924 in Winona, Mississippi, to Frank N. and Vera Lee (Taylor) Haynes. She had lived in this area since 1931 and was a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Hugo, OK. She married Lloyd Winfrey on June 18, 1943 in Hugo, OK. Frankie worked as a rent clerk for the Hugo, Housing Authority.
She was preceded in death by parents: her husband: Lloyd Winfrey in 2001; son Harold Winfrey in 2007; sister: Emma Ward in 2013.
Frankie is survived by grandson: Gene Winfrey and wife Adriana of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren: Megan, Lauren, Kiersten, Nathan, Jordan and Ethan Winfrey.
