Estha passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011, in LaHabra, California at the age of 88. Estha Mae (Curtis) Wilkins was born April 10, 1922, the daughter of M. L. and Pearl (Lamb) Curtis. She grew up in Grant, and then was a resident of Hugo. She had 7 siblings, Eli, Leonard, Manuel, and Wendell are deceased. Opal Frost and Dimple Casey still reside in Hugo, and W. D. Curtis is in a nursing facility in Bonham, TX. She was the wife of Andrew Wilkins until his death in 1995 and will be buried next to him in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Estha has resided with her younger daughter’s family in Whittier, CA since the death of her older daughter, Jackie Endemano, in Hugo on May 1, 2008.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah, son, Randy; five grandchildren, Jessica, Nathan, Coral, Meghan and Kimberly; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail and Sawyer. Estha was devoted to her family and her friends throughout her life. She had the special gift of caring. She cherished the time she could spend visiting friends and family; checking on them, sitting with them, connecting, reminiscing, praying for them, and reassuring them that they were loved.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 3, 2011, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
