Ronald Jay Whisenhunt

Ronald Jay Whisenhunt was born September 11, 1952, in Sacramento, California, to Jay Wright and Ruby Alline (Mills) Whisenhunt. He passed from this life January 5, 2014, in Safford, Arizona, at the age of 61. Ronald married Vickie Felihkatubbe on November 18, 1994 in Livingston, Texas. Throughout his life he worked as a construction manager, rancher, cross country trucker. Ronald liked to golf, ride rough stock, wood working, read about and visit historical sites, lay on the couch with his dogs, and he could always tell a great story. He also loved driving truck across country, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents: Wright "Jay" and Alline Mills Whisenhunt.

He is survived by wife: Vickie Whisenhunt of the home; children: Kelis Brown and husband Ricky of Valliant, Oklahoma, Kenny Whisenhunt and wife Traci of Abilene, Texas, Chad Bell and Candis Bell both of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister: Dona Kaye Trapp of Hugo; grandchildren: Ryan Brown, Dylan Bell, Tadem Bell, Taber Strickland, Trinton Brown, Reese Whisenhunt, Bannon Whisenhunt, Kyah Masters, Kace Bell and Jackson Hutson; nieces: Johnna Kinslow, Mikki Jo Thompson and Chandy Rae Abney all of Hugo, Oklahoma; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 ~ First Baptist Church - Hugo
Officiating: Pastor Chris Gibson ~ Pastor Shane Meshaya

Music: "If Tomorrow Never Comes" ~ "When I Get Where I'm Going" ~ "Go Rest High On That Mountain"

The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
