Funeral services for Virginia Watson will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the Bill Darrough Pavilion with Rev. Bill Stone officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Virginia passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011, in Paris, Texas, at the age of 89. Virginia Watson was born October 27, 1921 in Erving Community, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert and Agnes (Tidrow) Banks. She married Russell Watson on November 6, 1943, in the Fallon Community. Virginia has lived in this community most of her life. Early on, she did spend about 20 years traveling with her husband, Russell in his line of work. Virginia was a dedicated member of the Southside Baptist Church. She worked at the Hugo Wal-Mart in the craft department for six years or so. One of her favorite things to do was talk on the phone with her girlfriends. She enjoyed quilting and working in the garden, especially her roses.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Watson in 2004; four brothers, Clyde Banks, Gene Banks, Dalton Banks, Hayden Banks.

Virginia is survived by one son, Jimmie Watson and wife Janetta of Hugo, OK; two sisters, Bobbie Cox and husband Hayden of Ft. Worth, TX, Mary Jim Hawkins of Denton, TX; two granddaughters, Kim Bush and husband Charlie of Hugo, OK, Ellen Watson of Yukon, OK; three great-grandchildren, Barbara Gillis and husband Fred of Irving, TX, Terrance Bush and wife Jill of Ada, OK, Macy Bush of Durant, OK; six great-great-grandchildren, Ethan Bush, Darcy Key, Caleb Phelps, Ryleigh Gillis, Bonnie Gillis, Tenley Bush.
