Graveside services for Bobby "Oscar" Stewart will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013, at 12:00 noon at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Rev. Doug McClure officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK. Bobby went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 7, 2013, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 74.
Bobby Gene "Oscar" Stewart was born June 8, 1938, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Henry and Ethel (Fairchild) Stewart. He married Nita Gray on October 12, 1962, in Hugo, OK. Oscar had lived in this area all of his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hugo, OK. He served his country in the Oklahoma National Guard full time for 37 years and retired as a Lt. Colonel. Oscar owned and operated Stewart Refrigeration with his family for many years until 1985. Oscar enjoyed playing golf, deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steve Stewart.
Oscar is survived by his wife, Nita Stewart of Hugo, OK; one daughter, Gena Smith of Durant, OK; two grandchildren, Lauren Smith of Hugo and Alexandra Smith of Durant, OK; one great-grandchild, Olivia Harrison of Hugo, OK.
