"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." On the morning of March 8, 2017, Kendric Eugene Smith entered the gates of Heaven. Kendric also known as "Lil Kit" was born at February 4, 2017, to Cedric Eugene Ware and Sanowa Dawn Smith, in Durant, OK.

Lil Kit is survived by his parents, Cedric Ware and Sanowa Smith, big brothers, Ashton Smith Brayden McDaniel and Dayvian Smith, all of the home; sister, Miya Mims of Mt. Pleasant; maternal grandmother, Cheryl Sober of Hugo, OK; uncles, Steven Storie and Tristan Sober; aunts, Ashley Sober, Jaxie Sober; paternal grandparents, Annie Ware of Boswell, OK and Joe Freeman of Idabel, OK; several other family members and close friends.

Funeral services for Lil Kit will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK. Pastor Stephen Shain will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. before the service at 2:00 p.m.
