Funeral services for Albert Dewey Routon will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Brother Larry Minchey officiating and burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma.

Albert passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 in Soper, OK at the age of 65. Albert Dewey Routon was born April 24, 1944 in Soper, Oklahoma the son of Arthur Harlan and Annie Katherine (Stillwell) Routon. Albert lived in this area all of his life. He married Johnnie Lou Crabtree on July 22, 1962 in Hugo, OK. He worked for Bright's International as a welder for ten years, served as a Choctaw County Commissioner for two terms, and worked for Little Dixie KEDDO. During this time he also owned and operated a dozer service and small engine repair business. Albert retired from the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Dept. He also served on the Choctaw Memorial Hospital Board. Albert thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents: Harlan and Katherine Routon; his wife: Johnnie Lou Crabtree and one sister: Kathy Hochgraefe.

Albert is survived by two sons: Mark Routon and wife Amber of Antlers, OK, Scott Alan Routon and wife Darla of Edmond, OK; one brother Harlan Wayne Routon and wife Marie of Wylie, TX; three grandchildren: Jacey Rianne Routon, Scott Allan Routon II, Andi Lynn Routon; one nephew: Wes Routon of Wylie, TX; one niece: Kari Smith of Antlers, OK; two great nieces: Sarah Routon and Savannah Routon.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 8, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
