Celebration of Life Service for Chris Methvin will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. at the Hugo Agri-Plex, with Mike Mussett officiating and burial following at Mt. Olivet, in Hugo. Chris passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Arlington, TX, at the age of 43.
Christopher Mark Methvin was born April 14, 1972, in Antlers, OK, to Edward Earl and Betty Ann (Logan) Methvin, Sr. Chris had lived in the Hugo area all of his life. He and his wife, Donna, were married December 27, 1991, in DeQueen, AR. Chris was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, cousin, and friend. Anyone who knew him understood the joy he had in his heart for his family and friends. He was always the one to make sure others were taken care of before himself. Chris enjoyed family time, hunting, fishing, horse racing, farming and ranching, and flying his plane.
Chris is survived by his wife, Donna Methvin; parents, Earl and Betty Methvin, of Hugo, OK; son, Trevor Methvin and his significant other, Korrin Hadland, of Hugo, OK; daughter, Cheyenne and son-n-law, David Carlile, of Hugo, OK; brothers, Devin and wife, Melissa Methvin, of Hugo, OK, Edward and wife, Betty Jo Methvin, of Rowlett, TX; brother and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Michelle Cockrell, of Hugo, OK, Jesse, of Idabel, OK, Jimbo and Brenda Cockrell, of DeQueen, AR, and Brenda Cockrell, of Idabel, OK; one grandchild, Brylee Hadland, of Hugo, OK; father-in-law, James Hill, of Idabel, OK; nieces, Lauren and husband, Bryan, Meghan, Makala, and Brittany; nephews, Hunter, Levi and wife, Emily, Landon, Matthew, Jayden, Ryan and wife, Allie, Zachary, and Josh; great nieces and nephews, Ethan and Hazlee; a very special uncle, Derrill Methvin; numerous special friends, Ed and Connie Powell, Ronda and Kenny Spear, John and Anita Morehead, Royce Smith, Brent and Colleen Davidson, Guy Smith, Guy Snead, and Dave and Darryl Perez; as well as many cousins and a lot of friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer and Merle Logan and Clemie and Cecil Methvin; his mother-in-law, Sheila Hill; amd great-niece Payton.
