Funeral services for Calvin J. McAdoo will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 2p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Jim Collier officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calvin passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 in Converse, LA, at the age of 79.

Calvin J. McAdoo was born August 10, 1934 in Ison Springs, OK, to Olen and Naomi Faye (Lea) McAdoo. He married Elizabeth Joan Adams on December 21, 1953, in Amarillo, TX. He worked as a foreman at a papermill until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, seeing new sights, most of all he loved spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Elizabeth Joan McAdoo of the home; baby sister and nephew "Hopper" Boyles.

Calvin is survived by children: Michael McAdoo of Converse, LA, Ronald McAdoo of Broken Bow, OK, Teresa Cantrell of Grant, OK; five grandchildren: Lisa Bodey, Angela Morgan, Ashley Thompson, James Earl McAdoo and David Allen; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Billey Lee McAdoo of Gainsville, TX, Wendyl Wayne McAdoo of Nuella, TX and Johnny Ray McAdoo of Greenville, TX; sisters: Margaret June McAdoo of Marietta, OK and Linda Faye McAdoo of Marietta, OK.
