Funeral services for James Welton Martin will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Bryant officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
James passed away Monday, November 15, 2010 in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 68. James Welton Martin was born February 26, 1942 in Hugo, Oklahoma, to James Walter and Leona (Record) Martin. He had lived in this area most of his life. James thoroughly enjoyed all the time spent with family, especially birthdays and holidays. He was known to make friends wherever he was, and shared God’s unconditional love to everyone.
He was preceded in death by parents.
James is survived by two sisters, Margie Martin and Sue Dellinger both of Hugo, OK; two brothers, Melvin Martin of Ft. Towson and Jimmy Martin of Paris, TX; close cousins Jean Mortin, W.D Carlile, Earnest Carlile, Jimmy Carlile, Patricia Porter all of Hugo, OK, Loyd Carlile of Paris, TX and Martha Morrison of Arkansas; a number of nieces & nephews and a host of good friends.
