Funeral services for Sue Lyles will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rev. Oscar Wilkie officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Sue passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 in Paris, Texas, at the age of 83. Mary Sue Lyles was born December 22, 1926 in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Dave and Beatrice (Carter) Mathis. She lived in this area all of her life and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She married Henry C. Lyles Jr. on October 4, 1947 in Hugo, OK. Sue worked as office manager and abstractor for the Choctaw Abstract & Title Company over 20 years. She also retired from the Choctaw County Treasurer Office after many years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, J.S. (Jack) Bugg; brother, John Bugg, grandparents, Dr. M.L. Carter & Ethel Carter.

Sue is survived by husband, Henry C. Lyles Jr. of the home, one son, Jeffrey Lyles of Hugo, OK, one daughter, Vicki MacKenney and husband Fred of Piedmont, OK, two sisters, Mary Lue Beesley and Billie Simpson both of Hugo, OK, two brothers-in-law Roy E. Lyles and wife Betty and Paul E. Lyles and wife Karen all of Hugo, OK; four grandchildren, Nathan MacKenney, Jeffrey Lyles Jr., Jordan L. Lyles all of Edmond, OK and Kahlea MacKenney Young and husband Max of Bethany, OK, one great-grandchild, Everr Young of Bethany, OK. Sue loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild, they were her life.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
