Funeral services for Patricia Grace Farmer Houser will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Hugo, OK. Committal service will follow at the Bill Darrough Pavilion at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery of Hugo, OK. Pat Houser of Paris, TX, died January 17, 2015. She was born March 3, 1931, in Hugo, OK to Tom & Bessie Farmer. She was the sixth of seven children and the youngest daughter. While growing up, Pat faithfully attended the Hugo Church of Christ with her family.

She married Johnny Houser of Hugo, November 12, 1949, and they had two children Patti and Chris. The family moved to Tampa, FL in 1956, where they lived until after Johnny’s retirement. Pat will be remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother who demonstrated by example how to live a Christian life. She took pride in being a homemaker and was always attentive, involved, and supportive as a mother. Her grandchildren knew her to be caring, fun-loving, and interested in their lives.

In 1987, Pat and Johnny moved to Paris, TX where they became members at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ and regularly attended for many years. To celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, they renewed their vows in a wedding officiated by their preacher Patrick Cannon. They remained sweethearts throughout their more than 65 years of marriage.

Pat is survived by her husband Johnny, daughter Patti and husband Dr. Craig Johnson of Tulsa, OK, son Chris and wife Tammy of Mansfield, TX, grandchildren Laura and Ben Johnson, Blake and Brooke Houser, a brother Tom Farmer and wife Mary, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family & friends are invited to sign the guest book or send private condolences to the family at www.praterlampton.com.
