Funeral services for Raynell France will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rev. Dick McClure officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Raynell passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. Raynell France was born December 28, 1935 in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Ray and Lois (Corn) Collins. She had lived in this area all of her life and was a member of the Shoals Baptist Church. Raynell worked as a secretary for Don Ed Payne until 1977. She then went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services where she retired in December of 1997. Raynell was a great cook, and was especially known for her Christmas candy. She loved gardening and flowers. Raynell will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Kelly France in 2003; her son: Lynn France in 1979; her brother: Hal Collins; her mother: Lois Wilkins.
Raynell is survived by daughter: Dana Hampton of Hugo, OK; one granddaughter: Stephanie Hampton of Hugo, OK; one sister: Nancy Stell of Hugo, OK; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends, including her very special friend, Shirley Horn; her two beloved animals: Kandie and Muffin .
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
