Madeleine J. Kaiser DeWeese, 91, passed away on Nov. 18th, 2013 in Houston, Texas. Madeleine was born on April, 10, 1922 in Pont-a- Mousson , France. She grew up in occupied France during WWII. It was there she met the love of her life, Lt. Ed R. DeWeese, United States Army. They were married in France and returned to the United States to live. They moved to Hugo, Oklahoma for a short while and then moved to New Orleans. Later they moved to Dallas where they had two beautiful daughters, Vivian and Donna. Ed moved the family to Houston in 1967 and they called Houston their home. Madeleine worked for a short time at Dresser Industries in Houston, but was most proud of being a homemaker and raising and taking care of her family. She volunteered at Share Centers for the needy and visited nursing homes bringing residents lap quilts that she knitted. Her passion was gardening, and she could be found in her backyard tending to her flower garden, her favorite being her roses. Family meant the world to her and she loved spending time with her girls and their families. She greatly enjoyed exercising with friends at Bayland Community Center and visiting with her caring neighbors. She was a member of Saint Thomas Moore Catholic Church.

Madeleine is survived by her two daughters, Vivian Lynn Yancey of Terrell, Texas and Donna Marie Patschke of Pearland, Texas; two son-in-laws, Garry Yancey and Nolan Patschke; three grandchildren, Blake Yancey, Allison Patschke and Amanda Patschke; two great grandsons, Colton Yancey and Cannon Yancey; her nephew, Robert Switzer of Baltimore, Maryland and many cousins in France.

Services for Madeleine will be Thursday, Nov. 21st, 2013 at Earthman’s Funeral Home 6700 Ferris St. Bellaire, Texas. Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m.to 2:00 p.m. with service being held at 2:00 p.m.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23rd, 2013 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and concern. Madeleine will be deeply missed by everyone. We Love you Meme
