Funeral services for Louise Wallace Childers will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel, with Rev. Bennie Hammons officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Louise passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Louise Wallace Childers was born January 22, 1924, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thomas and Trudie (Clifton) Dorough. She had lived in Hugo all her life and loved to work. She retired in 1978 as a Southwestern Bell operator after 34 years. She was a landlord in Hugo for many years and worked on her own houses. Louise loved to cook for her family, spend some time sewing and doing crochet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, James Earl Wallace; her second husband, R.W. Childers; one sister, Edna Cunningham; two brothers, Ray Dorough, and Ed Dorough; one granddaughter, Taylor Wallace; one niece, Sue Garrett.

Louise is survived by one son, James Earl Wallace and his wife Linda Wallace of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, William Payne of Flower Mound, TX, Tandi Payne of Allen, TX, Shannon Sinsey, Robert Sinsey, Candace Wallace, Dara Beason, and Todd Beason all of Yukon, OK, Casey Woolsey, and Ryan Woolsey all of Ft. Towson, OK; great-grandchildren, Taylor Payne, Aisha Ainsworth, Chelsea Payne, Elyse Barnett, Keller Beason, Rylee Sisney, Isaac Sisney, Kaden Beason, Sean Payne, Tyson Woolsey, William Woolsey, and Kash Beason; one brother, Charles Dorough of Chickasha, OK; one sister, Vada Bray of Wichita Fallas, TX.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31, 2011, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
