Services for Grace M. Bedwell, 83, of Durant, who passed away Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant, will take place 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the Church of Christ on Seventh and Beech streets. Brother John Curtis and Brother Charles Villines will officiate.
Grace was born on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1925, in Tyler, Texas, to William Earl Price and Frances (Atkins) Price. Grace was a member of the Seventh and Beech Church of Christ. She enjoyed attending church, music, shopping and being with family.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Byron L. Bedwell, her son Timothy E. Bedwell and her brother William E. Price Jr.
Grace is survived by her daughters Cheryl McClure of Overton, Texas, Nancy Pena of Durant, Beverly Hale of Tyler, Texas, Celia Hinson and Elizabeth Nosser, both of Natchez, Miss., Margaret Mars of Columbia, Md., and Lisa Halford of Cary, Ill.; sons Byron L. Bedwell III of Wilton, N.D., John Bedwell of Colquitt, Ga., and Thomas Long Jr. of Natchez, Miss.; brother Kirby Price of Gainesville, Texas; sister Linda Broudreau of Frankston, Texas; granddaughters Anna Celtik and Martha Pena; 35 other grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Her grandsons will be pallbearers.
Burial will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.
Family hour will be 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Dalton-Holmes Funeral Home.
