Funeral services for Betty Bailey will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rev. Justin Byerly and Darrell Bailey Jr. officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Betty died Friday, September 3, 2010, in Shawnee, OK at the age of 78. Betty L. Bailey was born January 9, 1932, in Yarnaby, OK, the daughter of John Henry and Roxie (Bishop) Freeman. She married Eugene Bailey on July 25, 1953 in Bakersfield, CA. Betty had lived in this area since 1986, after living in the Casa Grande, Arizona for 39 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Heavens Harvest Church of God. Betty was a very outgoing person, never met a stranger, loved her family, especially cooking for them, and she loved to sew & crochet.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Bailey in 2006; seven brothers and four sisters.

Betty is survived by six sons, Darrell & Betty Bailey of Antlers, OK, Dennis Bailey of Hugo, Curtis & Joyce Bailey of Grant, OK, James "Wes" & Minnie Bailey of Grant, OK, Jimmy & Nancy Bailey of Casa Grand, Arizona and William Bailey of Atoka, OK; two daughters, Diane Bailey of the home; Mary & Charles Covington of Hugo, OK; one sister, Mary "Sadie" Cloninger of Speer, OK; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 6, 2010, from 5:00- 6:00 p.m.
