Funeral services for Sheridan Baer will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 2:00 PM at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Witt officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Henry went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at the age of 87.

Henry Sheridan Baer was born on November 25, 1924 in Roxton, TX, the son of Phil Sheridan and Emma Tommie (Moore) Baer. He married Betty Baer on August 8, 1947 in Paris, TX. Sheridan lived in Paris, TX before moving to Hugo in 1957. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during WWII. He was a member of the Clayton Avenue Baptist Church. Sheridan worked as a conductor for the Frisco Railroad for many years and enjoyed making things from wood. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Baer in 1996.

Sheridan is survived by two sons. Phillip Baer and wife Nancy, of Garland, TX and Kenny Baer and wife, Renee of Irving, TX; one brother, Billy Baer and wife, Betty of Mesquite, TX; one sister, Lucille Thurman and husband, James of Irving, TX; five grandchildren, Christopher Baer of Garland, TX, Steven Baer of Irving, TX, Kendra Thomason of Grand Prairie, TX, Cari Brown of Rockwall, TX and Nichole Galloway of Amarillo, TX; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; Aunt Mattie Lou Bramlett of Paris, TX and special friend, Mary Norris of Hugo, OK.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2012, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
