Graveside services for Robert Smith will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Grant Cemetery with Rev. Eddie Lane officiating. Robert went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, in Grant, Oklahoma, at the age of 90.

Robert Lee Smith was born November 14, 1921 in Nelson, OK to Charlie Oscar and Pearl (Satterfield) Smith. Robert had lived in this area all of his life and was a member of the Grant Baptist Church and DAV. He married Sue Wyatt on November 24, 1952. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII, in the Omaha Beach Landing. Robert worked as a truck driver for Cannon Gas Company for many years before retiring. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Virgil Smith; one sister, Nell Choate.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sue of the home; three daughters, Bobbie Cabra of Gallatin, MO, Teresa Allen of Mexia, TX and Terry McClain all of Grant, OK; two sons, Glenn Smith, Jerry Smith both of Grant, OK; one sister, Faye Moffitt of Hugo, OK; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family will receive friends Thursday, September 13, 2012, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
