Graveside services for Jean Wilkins Gooding will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Burgie Thompson officiating and burial following in the Grant Cemetery.
Jean died Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Paris, Texas at the age of 82. Jean Wilkins Gooding was born September 2, 1927 in Grant, OK, the daughter of Walter Terrell and Chole-Etta (Boyett) Wilkins. She graduated from Grant High School and acquired technical bank training. She worked in finance and retired from Lamar National Bank in Paris, Texas. She had lived in this area for the past 30 years after moving here from the Oklahoma City area. Jean was a member of the Unity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Harriet Leonard and Ruth Ruggles; two brothers: Wilbur Wilkins and Ray Wilkins.
Jean is survived by one step-son: Hank Cooper of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother: Vance Wilkins of Grant, OK; one sister: Frances Henson of Paris, TX; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Linda Belcher of Paris, TX.
