Graveside services for Lee Parks Parrish will be held Friday, April 2, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at the Goodland Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Ed Pisachubbe officiating, and burial following in the Goodland Cemetery.

Lee Parks Parrish died Sunday March 28, 2010 at the age of 66 in Hugo, OK. Lee was born November 2, 1943 in Hugo, OK the daughter of Boney Lewis and Linnie Pauline (Push) Parks. She was raised in Hugo, attending school at the Goodland Indian Orphanage until graduation. Lee was the granddaughter of Simpson E. Push, an Original Choctaw Enrollee#5927. She attended the Ft. Worth School of Cosmetology, and later completed her nursing certification. Her passion was the non-profit Native Women For Justice, Inc., where she was a dedicated women’s advocate and volunteer social worker. Lee had a sharp mind for genealogy research, spending countless hours finding the people connected in families.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her first husband: James Mendenhall, and second husband: James Parrish.

Lee is survived by four brothers: Robert E. Brous of Plano, TX, Nashoba Ilabano of New Caney, TX, Clinton Pyle of Lone Oak, TX, Nick Parks of Ft. Worth, TX; two sisters: Fran Fragola of Hugo, OK, Belinda Chretien of Ft. Worth, TX; two sons: Craig & John Parrish, both of Sparks, NV; two nieces: Laurie Fragola of Syracuse, NY, Kim Foster of Dallas, TX; one nephew: Vito Fragola, Las Vegas, NV; numerous other nieces and nephews.
