Funeral services for "Odie Miller" be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Rattan Victory Assembly of God Church with Pastor Keith Williams officiating and burial following in the Ft. Towson Cemetery.

Odis C. Miller, fondly known as "Odie" was born July 9, 1962, in Bell Garden, California, to Odis and Susie (Willis) Miller. He passed from this life April 29, 2014, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the a ge of 51.

Odie was a lifelong resident of this area and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Rattan, Oklahoma. He married Rita Brown on February 5, 1982, in Sawyer, Oklahoma. Odie worked as a pipeline welder for the Local Union 798 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in both Valliant, Oklahoma and Ft. Towson, Oklahoma. Odie enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing with his grandchildren and spending time with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father: Odis C. Miller and his grandparents.

Odie is survived by his wife: Rita Miller of the home; son: Odis "Buddy" Miller and girlfriend Courtney Nichols of Sawyer, Oklahoma; daughter and son-in law: Buck & Elizabeth Phelan of Eufaula, Oklahoma; mother: Susie Willis Miller Brown of Ft. Towson, Oklahoma; brother: Jay Miller and wife Debbie of Valliant, Oklahoma; sister Dawn Alvey and husband Clay of Ft. Towson, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Bailey Miller, Bethany Phelan and Stetson Phelan; as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
