Graveside services for James Albert Maddux fondly known as “Cotton”¯ will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ft. Towson Cemetery in Ft. Towson, OK. James went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 8, 2013, at the age of 82.
James Albert Maddux was born April 3, 1931, in Albion, TX the son of James Martin and Carmen (Maguffee) Maddux.
Cotton had lived in this area for many years and worked and retired from Choctaw County as an heavy equipment operator for District 1. In his earlier years he enjoyed farming and ranching. Cotton also enjoyed working on tractors.
Cotton was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Eula Rowin and one brother, Remi Maddux. Cotton is survived by one brother, Thomas Maddux of Meridian, MS; two sisters, Isabella Jane Robinson of Durant, OK and Betty Whiteside of Shepherd, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
