Funeral services for Evelyn B. Dunn will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, with Brent Franks officiating, and burial following in the Ft. Towson Cemetery.
Evelyn went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Sherman, TX at the age of 81. Evelyn B. Dunn was born January 25, 1931 in Hugo, OK, the daughter of Thelma and Margaret (Morris) Bookout. She married Mitchell Dunn on April 17, 1949, in Paris, TX. Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Antlers, OK. She loved quilting, sewing and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Mitchell Dunn in 2001; brother, Charles Bookout; sisters, Clara Mae Bookout and Grace Davenport; grandsons; Daniel Wright, Cassen Robbins; granddaughters: Heaven Lynn, McKinley Robbins.
Evelyn is survived by her mother: Margaret Bookout; five daughters: Dianne Dunn of Ft. Worth, TX, grandchildren, Charissa, Sarah, Kelly, Cassie and great-grandchildren, David, Tasia, Kirstie, Brayton, Raymond, Maddox, Star-Linda; Pamela Floyd and husband, Wes of Arizona, grandchildren, Tracey and Amy, and great-grandchildren, Emmanual, Gabriel, Jordon, Logan, Jacob and Peyton; Paula Dunn of Sherman, TX, grandchildren, Mark and Brian, great-grandchildren, Andrew, Leyla; Cynthia Mitchell of Antlers, OK, grandchildren, Shawn, Amanda and Brittany, great-grandchildren, Tara, Bailey, Michael, Dalton, Casidy, Payton; Toni Dunn and husband, Teddy Dyer of Sherman,TX, grandchildren Christopher, Brandon, Dustin and Emily great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Dylan, Jeremy, Phillip, Jacob, Kendra, and Shyan; one son, Michael Dunn and wife, Lisa of Antlers, OK, grandchildren, Michael Ray, Tandy, Doug, Chelsea and Taylor, great-grandchildren, Zander and Zane; brothers, Bob Bookout and wife, Cynthia of Descinso, CA, James Bookout and wife, Tanna of Idaho Falls, ID, John Bookout and wife, Patsy of Taft, CA, Steve Bookout and wife, Gail of Hugo, OK; sisters, Joyce Kilbebrew of Vine Grove, KY, Shirley Barnes of Paris, TX, Doris Kizer and husband, Gale of Hugo, OK.
The family will receive friends Thursday, March 29, 2012, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
