Funeral services for Mary F. Childers will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Ft. Towson with Pastor Dean Young officiating, and burial following in the Ft. Towson Cemetery. Mary passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 87.

Mary F. Childers was born July, 4 1925, in Valliant, Oklahoma, the daughter of George N. and Addie (Gregory) Taylor. She had lived in this area most of her life. She married Glenn Childers on February 21, 1948, in Paris, Texas. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, and cooking for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Childers in 1988, two daughters, Sandra Payne, and Linda Sue Vandever; granddaughter, Sheryll Lindamood; four brothers, and four sisters. Mary is survived by her daughter, Barbara Gail Vandever and husband Roger of Ft. Towson, OK; sons, Bobby Childers and wife Debbie of Hugo, OK, and Paul Childers of Ft. Towson, OK; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister in-laws including, Margaret Taylor, Shirley Taylor, Margaret Prater, Raymond Childers, Jerry Childers; son-in-law, Mike Payne of Sawyer, OK; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 28, 2013, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
