Funeral services for Stella Jewell Babb will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bryant officiating and burial following in the Ft. Towson Cemetery.

Stella passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 70. Stella Jewell Babb was born April 14, 1940, in Sawyer, OK to Ford and Pattie (Gregory) Burchfield. She was of the Baptist faith and moved from Sawyer, OK to Tulsa, OK.

She married John Babb and worked as a grocery store clerk. Stella loved to watch Jeopardy and The Wheel of Fortune. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and giving candy to the grandchildren. Stella was definitely the family caretaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Burchfield; one sister, Bobbie Burchfield; former spouse, John Babb.

Stella is survived by one son, Byron Babb of Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Cindy Paramoure of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Mary G. Smith of Arkansas City, KS and Patti June Herd of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren, Scottie Paramoure of IN and Jennifer Paramoure of Tulsa, OK; four great-grandchildren, Alexis Austin and Jayden Paramoure both of Tulsa, OK, Parker Paramoure and Payton Paramoure both of IN; nephews, Mike Burchfield, Jimmy Burchfield, Greg Burchfield, Eddie Burchfield, Phillip Burchfield, Larry Smith, Steve Smith, Patrick Herd and Todd Herd; nieces, Mary Ellen Sommerville, Karen “KayKay” Stafford and Kay Taylor.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton, Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
