Services for Franklin Wayne Pigeon are Friday, July 13, at 2 p.m., at Wheeley Cemetery, Etta Bend. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Duvall, and the guest speaker will be Oly Holcomb. Pallbearers are Walter Pigeon, Charlie Holcomb Jr., Steve Taylor, Jim Feathers, Henry Holcomb and Ron Davis. Arrangements have been placed under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Franklin Wayne Pigeon was born April 8, 1960, in Tahlequah, to Freeman and Julia (Bush) Pigeon. He died on July 10, 2012, in Tahlequah, at the age of 52.
He worked as a foreman for Red Simpson, GSI, TIC and Pike. He like the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
He has been preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Freeman Pigeon; and nephews, Justin Pigeon and Jacob Fields.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Brandon Pigeon of Welling, Nikki Pigeon of Alamogordo, N.M., and Mckenzie Pigeon of the home; grandson, Elijah Pigeon, also of the home; brothers, Larry Pigeon of Oklahoma City, Ronnie Pigeon of Locust Grove, Darryl Pigeon of Welling, and Benny Pigeon of Tahlequah; sister, Kim Fields of Stilwell; nephews, Jonathan Pigeon of Oklahoma City, Tyler Hediger of Gore, and Josiah Fields of Stilwell; nieces, Melanie Pigeon of Lincoln, Neb., Mercedes Pigeon of Tampa, Fla., and Julia Fields of Stilwell; and a host of other relatives friends and loved ones.
