Ella Mae Towie, the daughter of Loy and Ocie (McCleland) Millsap was born May 19, 1947 in Tahlequah, and departed this life on April 8, 2010 in Tahlequah at the age of 62 years, 10 months and 20 days.

Ella Mae married Lincoln Towie on July 2, 1971. She loved her family, and enjoyed her role as a wife, mother and grandmother.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Troy Millsap, Jerry Wayne Millsap, and George Ray Millsap.

She is survived by a loving family, which includes her husband of over 38 years, Lincoln Towie of the home in Tahlequah; two sons, Lee Towie and wife Meredith, and Ronnie Towie and wife Renae, all of Tahlequah; three daughters, Veronica Millsap and husband Jerry Jones, Denise Pillow and husband James, and Emma Epperson and husband Art, all of Tahlequah; one brother, Dean Millsap and wife Laniesa of Republic County, Kan.; four sisters, Mary Lower and husband Ernie of Owasso, Patricia Grimmett of Tahlequah, Rosett Terrell and husband David of Broken Arrow, and Donna Crow and husband Rick of Tahlequah; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Brother Paul Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in the Towie Cemetery under the direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
