Services for Carl Wiseley, 81, of Tahlequah, are Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 11 a.m., in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, Oct. 16, from 6-8 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Wilson Peace.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie, Carl Dean, Wayne, Rusty, Scott and Bob Wiseley, Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

Carl Wiseley was born Aug. 21, 1931, in Depew, the son of Carl Ross and Barbaraa (Evans) Wiseley. He passed from this life on Oct. 14, 2014.

Carl believed in God and family with a strong belief in people. He was a successful business man operating Green Country Floor Covering, and believed in the honesty of a handshake.

He had been a Deacon at First Freewill Baptist Church, served as treasurer of the Round Up Club, and worked on the Tahlequah City Police Department.

Following retirement, Carl was able to more fully enjoy time on his dozer and working his cattle. Carl enjoyed waterskiing and playing his electric bass in the band. He was a generous man, who loved to tease, and enjoyed eating sweets.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bill Wiseley; and his wife, Jean.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Faye of the home; a daughter, Connie Singleton and husband Bruce; and son Kevin Wiseley and wife Debra, all of Tahlequah; grandchildren, Taylor Singleton, Matthew Thorn, Jamie Thorn and Ehlanna Thorn; three brothers, Earl Wiseley and Ruby of Tulsa, James Wiseley and Sandy of Fort Smith, Ark., and Leon Wiseley and wife Georgie of Woodall; several nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, “Prince.”

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tahlequah Senior Citizens Center.
