William Dale Robertson, 56, of Tahlequah, passed away Sunday, Oct. 21, with his loving family at his side.
He was born April 29, 1956, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Ramon (Robbie) D. Robertson and Norma Gail Robertson. After high school, William furthered his education, attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He returned to Muskogee, where he met and later married Sharon K. Scraper in 1977. Two sons were born to this union.
William worked for Georgia Pacific for a span of 20 years. At the time of his death, William was employed by Healthcare Solutions in Muskogee as a utilization review facilitator.
He was a talented artist and a gifted musician. William attended Boulevard Christian Church in Muskogee.
He later met and married Cindy Harrison who preceded in him death in 2000. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Autumn Harrison; father, Ramon Robertson; and nephew, Bradley Robertson.
William is survived by his sons, Joshua Robertson and Jed Robertson both of Tahlequah; mother, Gail Robertson of Muskogee; brothers, David Robertson and wife Cindy of Fort Smith, Ark., Dean Robertson and wife Kim of Muskogee; nieces, Carly Marshall and husband Matt of Rogers, Ark., Ashley Curran, Lyndi Curran, and Raylee Robertson, all of Muskogee; his nephews, Michael Poteet and Jason Poteet both of Bartlesville; and a special friend, Marilyn Palmieri.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m., at Boulevard Christian Church, with Steve Moss officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Downs, Ryan Lester, Gene Ball, Heath Keeling, Mac Keeling, John Standridge, De Allen, Grover Barnard, Jeremy Cochran and Dr. Jim Risch.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5110 S. Yale, Suite 415, Tulsa, Okla., 74135.
