John George Medearis, Tahlequah resident, died of a heart attack on October 14, 2011 in Edmond, OK. He was 47 years of age.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday October 23, 2011 at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

John was born October 13, 1964 in Tahlequah the son of the late Robert P. (Bob) Medearis Sr. and Martha O'Neal Medearis. He had worked as a homebuilder.

He is survived by four children, LeAnn Davis and husband Gary, and Jack Medearis all of Welling, and Jacob and Jarod Medearis both of Tahlequah; his Mother, Martha Medearis of Tahlequah; one sister, Suzanne Hathaway and husband Bob of Tahlequah, two brothers, Park Medearis and wife Sandy of Tahlequah, and Frank Medearis and partner Joel Cousins of Muskogee; two grandchildren, Bailey Davis and Clayton Davis, one aunt Sue Wyly of Tahlequah, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.
