TAHLEQUAH -- Landon Daniel Davis was born on March 24, 2010, at 5:59 p.m. He was 4 pounds, 4 ounces and 17 inches long.

Even before his birth, Landon was very feisty. His most comfortable position was his butt poking out and his feet in mom's ribs. He didn't like it when anyone invaded his space. During every ultrasound, he would kick the wand as hard as he could. On every ultrasound picture, he liked to show us that he was definitely a boy.

He was ready to come out before it was time. The doctors were only able to hold him off for a week. When he was born, he came out throwing punches and kicking. He showed the doctors and nurses how much he liked them by peeing on them.

Landon held out for seven hours, but in the end his little heart gave out. Landon passed away, March 25, 2010 at 12:45 a.m.

Even though he was with us for only a short time, we love him very much. He came and went in an instant and we will hold him in our hearts forever.

Survivors include mom and dad, Haley and Nick Davis; grandparents, Bill and Mary Jones and Don and Rosie Davis; uncle Billy and aunt Jennifer Jones; aunt Tana Jones; uncle Jim Davis; aunt Amie Davis and uncle Jeremy Doublehead; cousins Taylor and Andrew Jones, Jacob Chuckluck, Ashtin Hummingbird and Zakkary Doublehead.

Private family services were held on Monday, March 29, 2010. Services were entrusted to the care of the Hart Funeral Home.
