TAHLEQUAH -- Lindsey Carpenter, age 26, of Tahlequah, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2010 in Tulsa.
Lindsey was born in Muskogee on Aug. 9, 1983, to James Carpenter and Tammy (Jackson) Hall. She attended Porter High School, where she graduated in 2002. She was a member of the FFA and attended Northeastern State University for a couple of years after graduating from high school.
A few of her favorite joys in life were being on the lake, going on boat trips and four-wheelers, and she loved her work at Has-tings Hospital in Tahlequah in registration. Everyone who knew Lindsey knows she had a special nickname she received from her dad at a early age, "Puddin." She was a special daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend to all those around her.
Lindsey is preceded in death by her grandparents, Tommie and Olin Linch, and great-grandparents Don and Annie Carpenter.
She is survived by her dad, James Carpenter and wife Tirzah of Porter; her mother, Tammy Hall and husband Chris of Tahlequah; four sisters, Halley Goodall, Jeanie Bunch, Angela Workman, and Latosha Steeley and husband Matt of Tahlequah. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members and friends who are sure to miss her.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Porter High School gymnasium with Pastor Richard Ford officiating and burial followed at Tahlequah City Cemetery in Tahlequah. Services were under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home and Crematory.
