TAHLEQUAH — Services for Barbara Jean Carlile, 69, of Tahlequah, will be Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m., in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Hunt. Serving as pallbearers are: Tommy Baker, Donn Baker, Tim Baker, Bill John Baker, Sonny Baker and Tommy Heaton. Honorary pallbearers are Sam Lamons, Tommy Lamons and Johnny Baker.
Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at tahlequahfuneral.com.
Barbara was born Oct. 25, 1943, in Tahlequah, the daughter of Edgar “Van” and E. Loraine (Simpson) Baker. She died in Tulsa, Nov. 25, 2012.
Barbara attended Crittenden Grade School and was a 1961 graduate of Tahlequah High School.
She married Johnnie Carlile on Nov. 14, 1960.
Following graduation, Barbara began working in the office at the Tahlequah Stockyards. Through the '60s and '70s she was Cherokee County tag agent before going to work as Cherokee County Deputy Court Clerk until her retirement.
Barbara was a member of the Cherokee County Cattlewomens Association, and was involved with her grandchildren and anything they were doing.
Preceding her in death are her parents and a brother, Kenneth Baker.
Cherishing her memory are her husband, Johnnie Carlile; children, Jack Carlile and wife Lori, and Sherri Kelley and husband Dennis all of Tahlequah; grandchildren, Micaela and Will Carlile and Clint and Kate Kelley; and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
