TAHLEQUAH — Services for Ryan Bird will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m., at the Reed Culver Funeral Home Chapel in Tahlequah, with interment at Swimmer Cemetery.

Pastors Dale Wilson, Jim Bird and Leo Bird will be officiating. Active pallbearers will be Nathan Cline, Mitchell Pudge Cline, Brad Mouse, Freeland Red Lindsay, Frankie Swimmer, Tommy Lee Phillips, Jorge Moreno and Colby Bird.

Ryan Bird was born on April 7, 1988, in Tahlequah. Ryan attended the Briggs Elementary School, and the Tahlequah junior and senior high schools. A Baptist by faith, Ryan was a member of the Cedar Tree Baptist Church.

Ryan loved spending time communicating with his many friends on Facebook and it seemed that all who met him loved him, and he loved them back. Ryan enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. He often enjoyed music, movies and watching TV – especially watching "Ghost Adventures." Ryan had a big heart, and he will be missed greatly.

Ryan is preceded in death by his mother, Delaine J. Bird; a stepfather, Raymond Hair; his grandma, Betty Bird; and two uncles, Danny and Gov.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Raylyn Bird; his mother/grandmother, Betty Hair; his father, Roger Bird, a brother, Brian Bird of Bentonville, Ark.; sister Stormie Bird; grandfathers J.B Bird and Alfred Franklin Sr.; his aunt, Dorothy Franklin and husband Alfred Jr.; aunt Karen Ballard and husband Gerald; his uncle, Sonny Fodder; and his special sisters, Jimmi, Sara and Cissie, all of Tahlequah, as well as a host of cousins and friends.
