TAHLEQUAH — Services for Maggie Nolan Allen will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at the Hart Funeral Home chapel. Interment will be at the Swimmer Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

Maggie was born Sept. 16, 1968, in Fort Sam Houston Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, to Kenneth and Orene Hooten. She passed from this life on Aug. 2, 2011, in Sallisaw, at the age of 42 years and 11 months.

Maggie lived in Texas until the age of 17. She then came to Oklahoma, where she resided until her death. Maggie found happiness when she met Anthony Allen of Hulbert, and raised their three boys, but her real happiness came when she accepted Christ as her personal savior. She was baptized by Pastor Samson Keener in Hulbert.

Maggie enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycle riding, ice and roller skating, shooting pool, gymnastics, fishing and camping. She loved driving down country roads, looking for wildflowers and finding the nearest creek, lake or pond to enjoy. You could always find her taking care of her plants, listening to music or decorating her home, as Maggie a creative person. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Maggie treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was very proud of them and their accomplishments. She loved people and enjoyed life through her friends and family. Her favorite attire was her jeans, fringed jacket and cowboy boots. She was good at the "boot-scootin' boogie."

Surviving are her sons; Robert Paul and wife, Mia, of Phoenix, Ariz., Christopher Matthew Nolan and wife, LaNina, of Tahlequah, Bryan Michael Allen of Hulbert,  and Joshua Justice and wife, Brittney, of Hulbert; her parents, Kenneth and Orene Hooten of Hulbert; her brothers, Kenneth Tyrone Hooten, of Hulbert, and James Monroe Hooten and wife, Dalisa T. Adams-Hooten, and daughter Stoakley; her grandchildren, Jacob, Valerie, Joseph, Zane, Lavaeh and Emberleigh. Maggie will be missed by many nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
