The funeral for Linda Lovan Haight Cooper, 60, of Ponca City, will be 10 a.m. today, Sept. 25, 2009, at Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City. Pastor David Bigger will officiate. Burial will be 4 p.m. in Price Cemetery , southwest of Tahlequah.

She was born Oct. 14, 1948, in Musk-ogee to Couie and Geraldine Green Scott and died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009, at her home.  

She attended Eloy, Ariz., schools and later earned an associate degree in science and nursing from Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa. She also earned a bachelor's degree in science and nursing from Northwestern Okla-homa State University, Alva.  

She worked as a nurse at Enid Memorial Hospital and later for Kimberly Quality Care as branch manager of northeastern Oklahoma.  

She was president of Case Management Association of Oklahoma.  

After leaving Kimberly Quality Care she became a partner in Home Health Services of Greater Oklahoma. She was a traveling contract nurse assigned to Phoenix. In 1999, she began working as a clinical nurse until retirement.

She married Charles Wilbur Haight Aug. 15, 1966, in Jacksonville, Fla. She later married Marvin Earl Cooper Feb. 14, 2008.  

Surviving are her husband, Marvin, of the home; three children, Charles David Haight of Mesa, Ariz., Tonja Diane Haight and Teresa Renee Gadhei, both of Ponca City; four brothers, Couie Eugene Scott of Garber, Timothy Blaine McDonald of Hillsdale , Kenneth Leon Townsend of Piedmont, Mo., and Patrick Scott of Phoenix; and one granddaughter.  

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles.
