Services for Amanda Nicole Shankle will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Hulbert, with Rev. Glen Rowan and Youth Minister Nick Pruitt officiating. Pallbearers will be Packy Ellis, Scott Manes, Kyle Jones, Keith Shankle, Kevin Walls, Hunter Eastham, and Francis Nez. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Joe Eastham, Fisher Eastham, Landry Eastham, Jacob Sevier, Caley Eastham, Rhett Shankle, Layne Eastham, Luke Dunlap, and Chance Shankle. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.
Amanda Nicole Shankle was born May 22, 1995, in Tahlequah. She passed away on July 2, 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Amanda attended Hulbert High School, where she was a cheerleader, played volleyball, golf, and softball. She was a member of several school organizations including, Reaching Our Hulbert Community and Students Working Against Tobacco. She was also on the Principal's Honor Roll. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Youth Group of Hulbert.
Amanda was loved by everyone, and she loved everybody. Always a caring person, she always had a smile for everybody.
Amanda has been preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Marvin and Grace Eastham; Uncle “Momo” Kenneth Shankle, and her great-great-grandma Nannie Benge.
She is survived by her parents, Amy and Randall Shankle; brothers and sisters, Danny Joe Eastham, Rhett, Gracie, and Sophie Shankle, and Rachel McAlvain; grandparents Bob and Cassie Eastham, and Mary Shankle; great-grandma Maxine Randolph; Uncle Bobby and Aunt Carol Eastham, Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Nikki Eastham; Aunt Lori Shankle, Aunt Traci and Uncle Kevin Walls; cousins Hunter, Caley, Fisher, and Heston Eastham; Layne, Libby, and Landry Eastham, and Luke Dunlap; Keith and Chance Shankle, Kyle Kirkpatrick and Kari Fine; along with many other relatives, friends, loved ones, and three special friends Alex, Mady, and Kylee.
