John Ernest Joice

John Ernest Joice
October 31, 1930 ~ September 19, 2025

John Ernest Joice was born on October 31, 1930, to Bill and Geneva (Yoder) Joice. John was raised in Yonkers, Oklahoma and moved to California when he turned eighteen. It was there that he met his future wife, Imogene Lemon. The couple were married on February 08, 1950, in Yuma, Arizona. They moved back to Oklahoma in 1954, and lived in the same home for the rest of their lives. John was employed as a foreman for Anchor Stone Concrete of Tulsa for forty years prior to his retirement in 1992. In his free time, John enjoyed working cattle, fishing, hunting, and gardening. John also attended Peggs Community Church.

John departed this life at his home, on September 19, 2025, at the age of 94.

John is survived by his two sons, Bill Joice and John Joice Jr.; daughter-in-law, Frances Joice; grandchildren: Nathan Leon (Marlena) Barnes, Julie (Kevin) Philbin, Robert (Lenzey) Carter, Chad (Wendy) Joice, Misty (Ace) Avei, and Melinda (Scott) Phillips. He is also survived by a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Geneva Joice; wife, Imogene Joice; daughter, Linda Harvey; brothers: Charles Joice and Ben Franklin Joice; sisters: Mary Hutchinson and Vina Mae Englebright; daughter-in-law, Barbara Joice; son-in-law, Billy Jo Flowers; and great granddaughter, Shya McDaniel.
