Laddie Lane Brixey, beloved dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend to many was born January 16, 1935 in Yonkers Oklahoma to Edgar Lee Brixey and Katy Novella Holland Brixey.
Sadly, he passed into his heavenly home and into the arms of his Lord on April 19, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Laddie lived in the Yonkers area until The US Army Corp of Engineers forced all residents to relocate. His dad moved the family to the Peggs community. He remained in this area until his passing. He finished the 7th grade at Peggs. Times were bad; he convinced his Mom that he had received enough education and his time would be better spent working and helping his Dad provide for the family.
Laddie met the love of his life, Geneva Sue Dotson, in Wagoner, Oklahoma. They were united in marriage on November 21, 1958 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. To this union came 5 children.
They were fortunate to share 67 years of marriage together before Geneva preceded him in death on December 10, 2025. We can take comfort knowing that this special couple is once again united in eternity.
Laddie valued hard work, honesty and the value of a man's word. To his children he will be remembered as a loving, hard-headed dad and a good provider with a firm hand. His hard work began at an early age and continued until a tractor accident in 2024 slowed him down.
A cane soon became his companion. He attended Tulsa Welding School. He dedicated many years to the steel fabrication industry, as a welder, working for Patterson Steel, Mid-Con, Martab and Hem-Saw. He finally got tired of "working for the other man" and started Brixey Dairy, with Geneva, from 1978 - 1996.
Laddie is survived by 5 children, Brenda Elaine Harris, husband Earl Wayne, of Locust Grove;
Davy "David" Joe Brixey, wife Terri, of Peggs; Gerald Lee Brixey, wife Georgia, of Locust Grove; Bonnie Sue Fisher, husband Todd, of Peggs and Shellie Kay Shankle of Peggs.
His legacy lives on in grandchildren; Nathan Harris of Locust Grove; Krystal Fisher of Tahlequah; Tamra Miller, husband Jonathan, of Locust Grove; Jessica Brown of Chelsea;
Sabra Harris of Locust Grove; Travis Fisher, wife Kaylee, of Mounds; Jeremy Brixey, wife Jamie, of Peggs; Traci Couch, husband Keith, of Chouteau; Tori Johnson, husband Boone, of Peggs; Taylor Brixey, Ronnie Greenhaw, of Miami; Kaylie Shankle and Kaden Shankle of Peggs; great-grandchildren; Haleigh Brown, Jaycie Brown, Ada Brixey, Coleman Brixey, Xander Greenhaw, Xadee Greenhaw, Kaisley Shankle and Aubrey Couch. Others left to mourn include a niece, six nephews, many extended family members and friends.
Laddie is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Brixey; parents, Ed and
Novella Brixey; brothers, Charles and Gary Brixey; sister-in-law, Diane
Brixey and grandson, Dustin Brixey.
