TAHLEQUAH — Services for Michael Lynn Adair will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m., at Swimmer Baptist Church, with Rev. Samson Keener officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., at Reed-Culver Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Neugin Cemetery near Hulbert.

Pallbearers for Michael include: Danny Smith, Little Boon Smith, Lincoln Adair Jr., Sid Whitekiller, Aramis Olivarus, Brian Locust and Kelly Jordan. Honorary pallbearers include: Lincoln Adair Sr., Mitchell Morrison, Christopher Morrison, Rocky Neugin, Dusty Neugin, Steve Fairchild, Steve Coon, Dusty Morrison and Austin Morrison.

Michael Lynn Adair, or “Sugar Bear” to his family and many friends, was born on May 29, 1969, in Tahlequah, the son of Lincoln Adair Sr. and Doris Ann Bean. He graduated from Hulbert High School in 1987 and began college classes. He met and married Jodi Lynn Neugin on June 18, 1994, at Keener Baptist Church near Hulbert. This union was blessed with three children, Blake, Harley, and Sami.

Michael worked for National Steel in Muskogee as a ironworker. When he wasn't working, Michael was a family man, through and through. He adored his wife and children and spent as much time with them as possible. He was very proud of his children and their accomplishments. He enjoyed a leisurely ride in the countryside, or watching any type of sports. Mike was an OU Sooner fan, but could also be found watching NASCAR, basketball, baseball, and even golf.

There was nothing better than a cup of coffee with his many friends and sharing a story or two. He was a big hearted guy, who made friends easily. It was his smile and the way he made you feel at home. A Christian by faith, Michael was a member of Swimmer Baptist Church.

The Lord called Michael home on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at his home in Ft. Gibson, OK. He was 43 years old. He will be greatly missed for all the love he shared and the way he cared for his family and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his grandfather, Blake Dobson; and his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Annie Adair; and great-grandmother, Lizzie Bean.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Jodi of the home. He leaves three adored children, Spc. Blake Adair of Fort Carson, Colo., Harley Adair of Tahlequah and Samantha “Sami” Adair of the home in Fort Gibson. He leaves both his mother, Doris Adair of Beggs; and his father, Lincoln Adair Sr., of Tahlequah. His brothers and sisters include Lisa Ann Adair of Lost City, Lincoln Adair Jr. and wife Vicki of Beggs, Rodger Dale “Bo” Jordan and wife Alicia of Stilwell, Kelly Ray Jordan and wife Angie of Leach, Shelly Ranee Ramirez and husband Frank of Hulbert, and Jeffrey Walls of Hulbert. Michael also leaves his beloved grandmother, Irene Dobson of Tahlequah, OK; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
