Services for Rudy Leon Gourd, age 52, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the Sequoyah High School Gymnasium. Interment will follow at the Keener Cemetery in Lost City. Services have been entrusted to the Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.Rudy Leon Gourd was born June 15, 1956, in Tahlequah to Jonas R. Gourd and Vivian Dreadfulwater Gourd. Rudy was a truck driver for the Tri–B Nursery, and a member of Keener Baptist Church. Rudy departed this life on Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 along with his sons, Eli and Russell. He was preceded in death by his father, Jonas R. Gourd, and his grandmother, Emily Keener Dreadfulwater. Survivors include his mother, Vivian Gourd, of Tahlequah; one daughter, Emily Gourd, of Tahlequah; four brothers: Steven, James and Keith Gourd, all of Lost City, and Leslie Gourd, of Tahlequah; five sisters: Vera Newman, of Irving, Texas, Pamela Gourd, of Dallas, Texas, Tina Snow, of Lost City, Jennifer Gourd, of Dallas, Texas, and Frances Arrendodo, of Desoto, Texas; five grandchildren: Grant David Neugin, Barry Joe Neugin, Garrett Turn Neugin, Lola Josephine Jett-Gourd and Cierra Maranda Jett-Gourd; and many friends and loved ones.Hart Funeral Home, P.O.
