TAHLEQUAH - Sidney Lewis Blossom was born March 12, 1960, in Talihina, to Shirley Blossom and passed away Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at the age of 48 years, seven months and 19 days.
His hobbies included fishing, playing pool and dominos and making beadwork. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and collected NFL jerseys.
Sidney was preceded in death by his mother; grandfather Eli Blossom; grandmother Cecilia Mae Leaf Blossom; and cousin Jimmy Sounders.
He leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Michelle, of the home; son, Leonard Cherokee Blossom, Oklahoma City; daughter, Kimberly Fire Thunder, of Tulsa; grandmother, Sarah Blossom, of Teresita; brother, Steven Blossom and wife, Norine, of Tulsa; sister, Joyce Fletcher, Muskogee; two grandchildren, Brandon Fire Thunder and Quianna Fire Thunder, both of Tulsa; four aunts, Pauline Sounders and husband, Louis, Margaret Wilson and husband, Phil, Evelyn Gritts and Phillip McIntosh, all of Tahlequah, Sandy Houston, of Teresita; three uncles, Kenneth Blossom and wife, Sheri, of Decatur, Ark., Bobby Blossom and wife, Sheila, of Welling, Darrell Blossom, Teresita; special friends, Richard Sazue, Tulsa, and Hope and Jody Gritts, Tahlequah; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 at the Johnson Prairie Baptist Church, with Brother D.J. McCarter officiating. Interment to follow at the Johnson Prairie Cemetery under the Direction of Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Tahlequah.Reed-Culver Funeral Home, 117 W. Delaware, 456-2551.
