TAHLEQUAH — Thelma Gertrude Patterson was born Feb. 24, 1930, in Hulbert, to Charley M. and Anna A. (Montgomery) Davis.

She graduated from Hulbert High School.

Thelma married Albert Ray Patterson on June 23, 1951, and they lived a long and happy life together, ranching and farming in the Hulbert area. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church.

Before retirement, she worked as an electronics technician for LaBarge in Tulsa. Thelma always liked to garden and can, and was famous for her pickles. She was a mother to many of her nieces and nephews. She was a supporter of the Hulbert Booster Club and loved watching her family in sports activities – especially basketball. Thelma was a true friend and developed lifelong friendships. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.

Thelma Patterson departed this life on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at her home in Hulbert.

She was preceded by her husband, Ray Patterson; parents; siblings, Earnest Davis, Logan Davis, Gunt Davis, Herb Davis, George Davis, Lora Lee, Dollie Morrison and Elinor Wynn; and great–niece, Kim Morrison.

She is survived by two great nephews and their families: Johnny Ray and wife, Jennie, Morrison and their children, Alexis and Jacob Morrison; and Mitchell and wife, Sandra, Morrison and their three sons, Austin, Chris and wife, Jessica and children, Emily and Maryn, and Dustin and wife, Elleny and children, Mia and Zoey; great-great nephew, Drew Adamson; a special friend to whom Thelma was “sister,” Mary Boston; and other relatives, friends, and other loved ones.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 5, at the First Baptist Church in Hulbert. Officiating will be the Rev. Glen Rowan and the Rev. Garland Thomas. Pallbearers will be Herbert Davis, Packy Ellis, Johnny Morrison, Mitchell Morrison, Chris Morrison, Dustin Morrison and Austin Morrison. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Morrison, Drew Adamson, Junior Patterson and Rick Davis.

Interment will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hulbert. Mallett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.mallettfuneral home.com.
