TAHLEQUAH — Funeral services for Samantha Jo Langston of Van Buren, Ark., formerly of Tahlequah, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating will be Rev. Vernon Pierce. Pallbearers will be Kevin McFarland, Jeremy Langston, Tim Moore, Randy Vance, Tracy Hoover and Chad McFarland. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Langston, Glenn Langston, Floyd Langston, Jon Landers, Bill Morgan and Roy Lee Cook.
Interment will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at 21865 Sequoyah Club Drive (end of Murrill Road) following services. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com
Samantha Jo Langston was born Dec. 31, 1986, in Muskogee to Roy and Wendy (Friend) Langston. She passed from this life on Oct. 3, 2010 in Fayetteville, Ark., at the age of 23 years. Samantha was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend. She grew up attending S.H. 51 Lighthouse Church.
She enjoyed working, playing horseshoes, modeling, going to Red Dirt and country concerts and listening to her favorite singer, Jason Boland.
Samantha has been preceded in death by her mother, Wendy Langston; paternal grandparents, Guy Major and Elsie Lee; grandfather, Steve Hallmark; and an uncle, Guy V. Langston.
Samantha is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Adrianna and Evanlee; parents Roy and Stacie Langston, sisters,Jessica and Megan, and brothers Trent and R.J., all of Welling; her grandmother, Joni Hallmark of Tahlequah; many aunts and uncles, including Ray and Kristie Langston, Glenn and Jolene Langston, Joyce and Kevin McFarland and Billy Joe and Krystal Hoover, all of Tahlequah, Floyd Langston of Shady Point, Norma and Jon Landers of Fort Gibson, Kathy and Bill Morgan of Park Hill, Tracy and Shelly Hoover of Tulsa, Sheila and Corbin Wasson of Broken Arrow, and Paul and Tracie Padgett of Temecula, Calif.
Samantha also leaves many cousins, friends and loved ones. Samantha was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
