Blake Tyler Alford

Blake Tyler Alford
December 30, 2003 ~ October 15, 2024

Blake Tyler Alford was born on December 30, 2003, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Brittney Diane Christie and Michael Jason Alford. He passed away on October 15, 2024, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 20 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

Blake spent his early childhood attending Grove School near Shawnee, Oklahoma, before transferring to Locust Grove Schools, where he completed grades 3 through 12. During his middle school years, he enjoyed playing football. A believer in Christ, Blake was a member of Fire and Wind Ministries in Locust Grove.

Blake worked as a laborer in landscaping and electric pole installation. He had a deep passion for music and an appreciation for all genres. When he wasn't working, Blake found joy in playing video games and successfully completed every level of Grand Theft Auto and Call of Duty. Although he preferred action movies, he was always open to trying any film at least once.

Blake cherished his time spent with family and hanging with his friends. He also enjoyed swimming and going to the creek. He especially loved sharing BBQ meals with his family, with whom he shared a special bond. Blake was naturally quiet but once he got to know someone, he had a way of making them laugh with his sense of humor and playful teasing. He loved to joke around with and give his friends and family a hard time. His big heart and caring nature endeared him to those who knew him, and his presence will be sorely missed by all.

Blake is survived by: his mother: Brittney Christie of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; his father: Jason Alford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 sister: Jaci Alford of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother: Angela Ballou of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; paternal grandmother: Sandra Alford of Paris, Texas; maternal Great grandfather: Jim Best of Peggs, Oklahoma; aunts: Elizabeth Hurry and husband Bryan of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Kara Marshall and husband Michael of Paris, Texas, and Amy Fowler and husband Eric of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; along with numerous more aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Blake was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bruce Alford; maternal great grandmother, Rachel Best; and uncle, Robert Alford.

A celebration of Blake's life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Justin Summers officiating. Interment will follow at Downing Cemetery near Peggs, Oklahoma. Services are entrusted to Locust Grove Funeral Home.
