Services for Wiley Ray Nodine will be Thursday, June 14, at 2 p.m., in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Duvall. Serving as pallbearers will be: Colten Laughter, John Laughter, Steve Romano, Daniel Romano, Brian White and David Howe. Honorary pallbearers will be: Randy Nodine and Bill Nodine. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Cemetery at Gideon under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Wiley Ray Nodine was born on April 22, 1943, the son of Marion E. and Ruby G. (Ford) Nodine at their home in Gideon. He died in Tulsa on June 11, 2012, at the age of 69.

He attended Moodys School before graduating from Tahlequah High School. Following graduation, he entered the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He loved to be outdoors and to hunt when he could. He enjoyed planting and caring for plants. He worked at area nurseries for many years and was a propagation manager.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and sisters, Delilah Sloan and Joy White.

He is survived by his son, Hurley Pitts of Tahlequah; daughters, Marcy Laughter and husband John of Hindsville, Ark., and Katie Nodine of Tahlequah; sister, Tammye Romano and husband Steve of Edmond; brother, Bill Nodine of Tahlequah; grandchildren, Colten and Emily Laughter, Maddison Summers, Kylee Nodine, and Tucker Nodine; as well as many other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Wiley was the best father that anyone could ever have. He treated everyone as his own, including a very special family friend, Ashley Howe, and her family.
