Born July 30, 1941, at Lone Grove, the son of Harl Issac and Talitha
Cuma Austin Jones, he died Monday, February 13, 2023, in Oklahoma City.
Dale was raised in Lone Grove graduating from Lone Grove High School. He
met his lifelong sweetheart, Vera Mae and together they were blessed
with three children, LaDonna, Michael, and Darlene. They made their home
in the Ardmore area where they raised their children. When Dale was
younger, he and a buddy hitchhiked a ride to Michigan where they worked
harvesting corn and fruit. He returned to Oklahoma where he worked for
Texoma Office Supply as the service technician for 40 years. Dale
enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He loved his family, especially
his grandchildren. Later in life, Dale decided to dedicate his life to
Jesus and was baptized. He was a member of the Christ Tabernacle
Pentecostal Church in Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lanora McCulloh,
Lewis Jones, Carl Jones, Kenneth Jones, Minnie Marshall; and Elmer Leroy
Jones.
Survivors include his significant other, Vera Mae of the home; children,
LaDonna Miller and husband Willi of Marietta and Michael Leibrock and
Darlene "Dink" Farve and husband Tommy, all of Lone Grove; siblings,
Virginia Jones Carney of Denton, Texas and LaVern Davis and husband
Jimmy of Ardmore; grandchildren, Jessica Morgan, Caleb Miller, Tyler
Farve, and Brett Farve; great-grandchildren, Camden Morgan, Blaine
Morgan, and John Lukas Farve; several nieces and nephews; and a host of
other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Farve, Brett Farve, Sean Davis,
Dale Davis, Michael Stradley, and Tony Jones. Honorary bearers are Jimmy
Davis, Larry Hartman, Rick Keller, and John Deathridge.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Alexander Gray
Funeral Home, Wilson.
