She was the daughter of the late Jim Bowser and Betty Jo
Waters Ashley. She passed away on April 1, 2024, in Overbrook at the age
of 68.
Vickie married Billy Ray Cox on June 30, 1978, in Ardmore, and they had
celebrated 45 years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, and nana
and loved her family and friends fiercely. Most knew Vickie as the sweet
lady behind the counter at Okie's Corner, where she was the manager.
Vickie loved her customers and thought of each of them as family.
She was preceded in death by her father Jim Bowser, mother and
stepfather Betty and J.W. Ashley; and brother David Bowser.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Billy; her daughter Tracey
Jacobs and husband Jason; grandson Andrew Jacobs; brothers, Don Bowser
and Jerry Ashley; stepsisters, Carolyn Woodard and Sandy Ricker, along
with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Vickie's life will be held Monday, April 8
at 10 a.m. in the Seaman First Class Billy Turner Ardmore Veterans
Cemetery.
