Memorial graveside services for Elmer Francis "Pinky" Reed of Marietta, OK, are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, OK, with Rev. David Shahan officiating.

Pinky was born July 2, 1954, in Arizona, the son of Elmer Albertos Reed and Savana Vices Boring Reed. He passed away Wednesday, January 2, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 64.

Pinky had been a resident of Love County since the age of four. When he was 10 years old he began working at the Waples-Painter Lumberyard in Marietta and as a ranch hand on the 777 Charolais Ranch for Jack and Claudell Higgins. He continued working on the ranch until his health failed in 2014.

Pinky learned to read and count cows. He got his drivers license and first Ford pickup at age 18 and then frequented many restaurants in Marietta daily. Pinky enjoyed attending the car races at Ardmore and was an avid collector of movies. He was dubbed "The Snowman" on the CB radio.

Although not related, the Lemons boys could always get Pinky riled by calling him "Uncle Francis".

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Ella Elizabeth "Ginger" Reed.

The Lemons family would like to extend their appreciation to Pinky's many friends, especially Lewis Manning and Brandon Sparks, and also to the staff of Lake Country Nursing Center for their many acts of kindness shown him throughout the years.
